Students elections set at GWC April 25-28

Students can elect their new leaders for the 2016-17 school year at Golden West College through the convenience of their desktop computer, tablet or smartphone next week.

Balloting for the posts in the Associated Students of Golden West College will run from 12 a.m. (midnight) Monday through 11:59 p.m. Thursday – that’s April 25-28 – will take place online through the Blackboard tab on a student’s mygwc accounts.

Voters will be choosing among candidates for the Executive Student Council, which consists of a president, an executive vice president and six vice president posts, covering club affairs, student advocacy, financial affairs, activities, public relations and sustainability.

An executive secretary is appointed from within the council.

Any student in good standing at the college is a member of the ASGWC and is eligible to vote.

The candidates will serve their term from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017

Within the next days, the candidates are required to attend the elections between April 25-28 at the campus polling stations and online, the Pass the Gavel Rehearsal on May 12 from 3:30-4p.m., and the Pass the Gavel Dinner May 12 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. both at the Student Center..
